Pumpkin Patch Pictures!

We took Devon to the Pumpkin Patch last weekend, but I have been a little slow to post. The kiddo is wearing me out!!! He loved the pumpkin patch, I can tell we have a pumpkin basher in the making though because all he wanted to do was pick them up and throw them. He also enjoyed the corn maze, although Josh and I were wiped out from it. It had rained earlier in the week and the maze was pretty muddy so we couldn't let Devon walk by himself. Of course we got lost and Devon is pretty heavy to carry around. Josh finally realized that we were back near the entrance, but he didn't care. He just wanted out. So we never made it through the maze. (I had fun though).

Oh and Devon's personality is really coming out. He is a funny little guy. I am including some pictures from this afternoon when we were out doing errands and also a picture of him devouring a Toostie Pop... (I took it away before he could reach the center. Mean mommy!)

I am curious to see how he does on Halloween. He isn't afraid of all the scary decorations-- he actually seems to enjoy the scariest ones. He won't say "trick or treat" but he will hide and jump out and say "boo." So we will see how he does...

I hope you enjoy the pictures!

He's Getting So BIG!

Sorry it has been a while since my last actual post... The guys had a major stomach flu two weeks ago and it just took me a while to catch up on everything. But everyone is good now and healthy too.

Devon went to his first birthday party last weekend. (First in that he was actually old enough to play and partake in the games and festivities.) He had a blast. They had a loving dog that he mauled several times and a bouncy house. I went in with him the first time, but after that, he was in all by himself like a big boy. He even got his face painted. The only drawback of the day is that I forgot he was allergic to watermelon and gave him a bite without thinking. I took it away almost immediately, but the juice was enough to give him an upset tummy for two days. (Mean mommy, right?) Other than that, he had a great time and played very well with the other kids.

And he is taking his first nap on his big boy bed as I type this... His mattress finally came yesterday (it only took 4 freakin' weeks which is another story). He LOVES his bed. He "helped" me make the bed with the sheets and the comforter and then we played on the bed for a while. He LOVES his pillows that are shaped like little cars and he pushes them all around the bed. Plus last night, I noticed he was quiet and when I went to check on him, he was back on his bed, playing with his cars. I am hopeful to get him transitioned to sleeping on the big boy bed soon so I can finally put away the play pen that he has been sleeping in.

And of course, I am including pictures for all the nanas and papas. He is turning into such a big boy. Enjoy the photos!
