Baby Devon started smiling the day after Easter, but it has been a real challenge to capture his grin on film. Every time we tried to grab the camera in time, Devon got mad. It seems as though he abhors absolutely anything that takes our eyes off of him. But we did it! Finally! This morning, we managed to capture Devon smiling on camera (but it took a tag team effort to accomplish this feat).
On a different note, Devon got his first immunizations today. He was a real trooper. Dad held him for the shots while Mom and Grandma left the room to make a comfort bottle. In the short time it took to make his bottle, Devon had finished his shots and had even stopped crying. But he still thoroughly enjoyed his comfort bottle. And mommy's hungry hog is now 10 lbs. 11 oz. That's our boy!

Yeah!! He finally smiled for the camera, what a cutie! I'm glad his first shots went well, and glad I didn't have to watch that happen to him! (Nana)

Wow! We only see him once in a while, and each time we can really see just how much he is growing. That is a great picture of him smiling!
